Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology Working On Modeling The Effects Of Nanobubbles On Nuclear Fuel Aging

During the operation of a nuclear fission reactor in a nuclear power plant, fission fragments crash trough the crystal lattice of the nuclear fuel creating defects such as vacancies, interstitial atoms and their clusters. The vacancies combine together to form bubbles that fill up with fission produced gas during the burning of the nuclear fuel.

Garden Ideas for Mother's Day

If your Mother's Day gift recipient is like my mother figures--my mom and my closest aunt--or me, they probably would prefer living plants to cut flowers that will only die. Sure, cut flowers are lovely, but how about a nice fern or hosta (my mom), or a pretty succulent (my aunt)? I'm asking for a pitcher plant this year, myself, or maybe some plants that bloom black. It's been that kind of a year.
