If She Fits, She Sits

Every cat lover knows the phrase, "If I fits, I sits." If a cat sees something that he might fit in, he tries it out and sits in it, without fail. Cats are so funny that way, and in our house a simple cardboard box is always a cheap route toward entertainment. My cats do really quirky things like pull towels off racks to sit on them, too. I recently got a desk with some square bars that the cats are fascinated with. They like to sit and stare out of the bars like they're in a Sarah McLachlan commercial. Feel sorry for my babies!

Biometric ID Cards

The Chinese government is engaging in some worrisome activities when it comes to tracking its citizens. A biometric ID is in development for tracking citizen use of the Internet. Some media reports are even saying that there are even ID trackers in the works to track location and DNA. Many civil and human rights activists are outraged by this government intrusion, but some people, even those in the West, think it's really no big deal.

Peanut Butter And Jelly Treats

While I'm sure there are some people who don't enjoy peanut butter and jelly (and sadly, many who can't have it), I know there are lots of variations, alternatives and takes on the treat that can make it accessible to almost anyone who wants it. I grew up loving crunchy peanut butter with strawberry jam best, but I have rarely met a PB&J that I don't like!

Spring Gardening Fever

Do you get the urge to PLANT ALL THE THINGS the first week it gets warm and pretty where you live? Yeah, me too. I know better. The last frost isn't supposed to be until May this year in the Midwest where I live, which means way too much living. My plan is to patch up my old greenhouse (my kiddo broke the plastic one winter with a hockey stick) and put my pots inside to help keep my babies safe because... yes. I did plant a bunch of seeds.
